Upgrade part. This fabricated throttle linkage rod is needed when installing a 38DGAS carb on a 2002 because the linkage on the DGAS is rotated 180 degrees relative to the 32/36. You can hack and cobble your old one to make it work, but our linkage rod makes the installation quick and convenient.
